Dear Players and Parents,

Welcome to the 2024/2025 season for the MTK U14 team! I am excited to meet each of you and see the talent and enthusiasm you bring to the rink. This season promises to be filled with growth, development, and success both on and off the ice.
My coaching philosophy centers on creating a positive and supportive environment where each player can reach their full potential. I believe in fostering teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic. Our focus will be on skill development, strategic play, and maintaining a high level of physical fitness. Every player will be encouraged to challenge themselves and their teammates, pushing for continuous improvement throughout the season.
This season, we will emphasize both individual skills and team tactics. Practices will be designed to enhance skating, puck handling, shooting, and defensive play. We will also spend considerable time on game strategy, ensuring that each player understands their role and responsibilities during different game situations.

We have an exciting lineup of tournaments where we will compete against other teams and showcase our skills:
- **Capital Volunteer Cup**: October 25-27
- **Welland Little NHL**: November 15-17
- **Capital Winter Classic**: January 3-5
- **Halton Hills Winter Classic**: February 7-9

These tournaments provide invaluable experience and an opportunity to bond as a team. Participation in these events will be a highlight of our season, and I am confident that we will represent MTK with pride and sportsmanship.I look forward to a fantastic season ahead and to working with each of you to achieve our goals.
