Police Vulnerable Sector Checks
It is a priority of the MTKMHC to create and maintain a safe environment for all participants in our minor hockey program. An essential and mandatory part of the screening process for our volunteers in the use of the police records check system to identify any volunteer or employee, including those hired under contract, that may cause harm to children or other vulnerable individuals. In accordance with the
HEO Policy for Police Records Checks, every person who wishes to volunteer with MTKMHC in any capacity is required to have an OPP Police Records Check completed every two years, or sooner, at the discretion of the MTKMHC Executive. The completed records check must be submitted to your level Convenor for maintaining.
The Police Records Check and the MTKMHC Police Records Check Request Letter must be submitted to our local OPP detachment. The Request Letter must be signed by a member of the MYKMHC Executive.
