Thank you all for a great start to the 2024/2025 tryouts for our U10-U15 families.
Every season we strive to make things the best we can for the players and appreciate some of the feedback we have received to date.
Here is what you can expect for the remainder of the U10-U15 tryouts.
Following the Hockey Canada pathways players are to receive 3 evaluations, 1 of which is to be in game play. Based on our numbers at certain levels it was determined by the executive committee to play some as intrasquad and some as exhibition play. We have officials booked and a timekeeper for all games.
U10-U12 players will be assigned to either white or teal by the Head Coach, players will be notified the day of the game which colour to wear.
An adult selected by the head coach will be on the bench with the players as well as door openers. There will be no coaching, the selected adult is to monitor ice time and ensure line changes after an appropriate amount of time per shift. Room monitors have also been scheduled.
First releases will follow after Thursday's games.
Players being asked to move on and attend Sunday's exhibition game will be posted online under their respective age groups.
U13-U15 - there may be a need to sit some players for the 1st exhibition game as not to exceed the rule of 19 players on the bench. All players are expected to report to the game, those not playing will be notified at the arena. The players joining the first game are based on many factors.
The Head Coach may or may not decide to be on the bench, depending on their preference. Door openers will be provided.
Releases will be posted online after Wednesday or Thursday games under their respective age groups.
All Final rosters will be posted online Sunday under their respective age groups.
Fit night (tracksuit, numbers, socks) for all U10-U15 teams will be Monday Sept 23rd.
You will receive a welcome email detailing next steps.
